Potluck For Penance

P4P

A new play by Ella Randle
Directed by Gita Bezard

Jaz is hosting a high school reunion potluck dinner at her swanky new apartment in the city. She has a lot to prove since last seeing her peers. Freshly polished award on the mantle and canapés at the ready, Jaz is confident it’s going to be a good night. However, not all is as it seems; someone at the reunion is seeking revenge. A chaotic whirlwind of strawberry daiquiris, liquid LSD and falling skies, Potluck for Penance is a dark comedy about living with the wounds that never heal.
From Ella Randle (three-time Fringe World Festival weekly award winner) and under the skilful direction of Gita Bezard (The Advisors, All That Glitters), audiences will be served a pacy, offbeat production that contains surprises suitable for all dietary requirements.
STAGE ONE is a Curtin Theatre Arts initiative. Now in its 13th year, STAGE ONE offers a Western Australian playwright the opportunity to write and premiere a new play and provides our undergraduate acting and technical students with the experience of working with a playwright, director and designer on the development and production of a new work in a professional venue.
